Wednesday: Oops, I forgot to blog yesterday when I was at the conference. I read all of your posts and sounds like one of the PC's (#3) was giving you all some trouble. The fact that I wasn't here was probably good because you all had to use some problem solving skills. I'm hoping that when we actually put these PC's into the new lab they are all working and loaded with the software we need. I will be playing catch-up all day and I know there are some classrooms you guys will need to visit today. Check in with me and we'll go from there.
PS: I learned about a some cool new web sites and things we can do at the conference so hopefully we will get to those very soon.

I went over to the elementary to make a user account for a teacher and made desktop icons for 2 programs/websites. When I came back, I had time to install audio devices on the two computers, but still need ethernet devices before novell is installed.
Today I went down to Coach Karston's room he wanted me to hook up a PC to a monitor. The only one that had any promise was a Windows 95 that needed a boot disk. Mrs. K said that we weren't going to worry about it since it was a 95 machine.
Today I went down to Coach K's room to try to get his computer working on the network again. When I went into his little computer room, where the hub is, I made sure the computer on the far right was working, just to make sure the hub was working and it worked fine. Then I went over the to hub and reset it, there was also an extra hub just sitting on top of it with no CAT cables in it so I unplugged it and set it back on top of the other hub. I finally understood what Mrs. K meant by seeing if the cable to his machine worked but by that time it was too late, so that was my day. I'll understand what she meant the first time, the next time I have to do it though!
Today Adam and I went to Coach K's room. Coaches internet wouldn't work so I went to the computer room he has and tested the wires in the HUB and found the one it was and the port wasn't working so imoved it to a differnt port. And then tried to get on the internet and it still wouldnt let me. So I clicked on the screen where it said diagnose connection problems and that fixed the problem. He now had the internet
Today I mainly just refromated more computers. Of course there was a troublesome one but it was quickly taken care, meaning I had to re-reformat it. Then Mrs. Anderson came in and needed me to hook her video spliter back into her computer so she could use her LCD projector. So rather uneventful.
I was absent.
