Wednesday: I'm a little behind on blogging and I know that gets you out of practice, but lets all get back in the grove. I feel like I have failed in getting you all to problem solve to the fullest extent. You need to keep thinking of ways to check connections, or trying to get something to work. There are multiple ways--always and you need to not give up after trying the first thing that comes to your mind. Practice improves this but I would think that you all have had quite a bit by now. keep at it!

In 3rd hour I went into Mrs. Abel's room to install a new DVD burner. well I got the the drive installed and even got it to read cd's but when i tried to burn to it with nero it didn't work. Nero only came up with image writer for burning devices. IDK what was wrong, I could have plugged it into the wrong port because the old drive was a SATA drive.

Today Mrs. Kempker and I brought Mrs. Abel's computer back to the lab to try and fix the DVD drive. We tried using a different drive but it kept giving us an error saying "D:\ is not a valid Win32 Application" the drive would:

1)Recognize DVD-R's and CD's (that's all we tried)

2)Explore CD's

but it would not load a CD just by double clicking on it.

I also went in under BHS to work on it so when I tried to uninstall the old Nero it said I needed to have administrator rights. I changed that. I left the classroom with the older version of Nero uninstalled and the newer version install disk. Mrs. Kempker was trying to get it to install when I left.
