Monday: I forgot to mention to everyone that I would be at a workshop in Columbia today learning about detecting and removing Malware from computers. I hope to teach you something new that I learn. While I am gone everyone should work on Chapter 1. I would like to see this finished and tested over by the end of this week. A preliminary podcast should also be recorded. You will want to practice once or twice before finalizing the podcast. Use your time wisely while I am gone and you will also need to work on some of this for homework. I will be asking to see Chapter 1 and listen to your practice podcast by the end of the week.

Thursday: Today is a short day and I forgot to get the blog started for today earlier. Don't worry about blogging for today. I know you all worked on making cables today. I will enjoy meeting your parents later today. Good first quarter from everyone!!

Wednesday: We will be working on making patch cables for a couple of days for the new middle school. This will get us ready for moving all the equipment there. Please test your cables with the laptop on the back table in my office. The cable tester doesn't seem to be working well. We will be making cables in 4 ft., 8 ft, and 10 ft. lengths for now.

Tuesday: I think I will make an offer to teachers to bring in home PC's for us to look at during down time. This will give each of you experience in working on computers and trying to figure out what is wrong with them. We will be very busy again in early December with the Middle School but we have a little time now. We'll try it and see how it goes.

Monday: Hope everyone had a great weekend. This week I will be working on getting the report cards ready for parent/teacher conferences on Thursday as well as continue working on data verification for our state reports. A lot more seat work at my computer than I would probably like. I don't see anything looming in the future as far as computer repairs. We'll see how the week progresses. You will probably have some time to work on your projects.

Friday: Hope all of you enjoyed your afternoon off. I am working on getting Q1 grades stored and verification sheets printed for the teachers today. I am thinking that most of you will have time to work on your podcast or chapter work today. Have a great weekend.

Wednesday: Everyone should have recieved information and instructions on Podcasting and the Networking book yesterday. I am expecting you to use any class time that you are not fixing someone's computer on these projects. I'm still working on PowerSchool updates and changes for a state upload. Have a great day!

Tuesday: Today I have the Networking books ready for you to pick up with the assignments for 2nd Quarter. We will also be working on a Podcasting activity this quarter with some other activities. My day will be spent working in PowerSchool trying to fix descrepancies with state data.

Thursday: End of Quarter finals today and tomorrow. I will give you some options for taking your 2 quizzes for the end of final. Talk to me about it today. You will also have some time to study for other finals.

Wednesday: Yesterday I went to see a Promethian board demo and it is very cool. This board is the competitor to the Smart Board and it has some features that the SB does not have. It also has a response system where the students can be asked questions and they touch a number on the pad and the teacher gets all the results. Very neat! Looks like we are getting close to getting al the PC's reformatted. I'll find something new to do soon!

Tuesday: I will be attending a presentation today off campus at 11:00 on Promethian boards which is a competitor to the SmartBoard. I'll let you know how it goes. Everyone can use class time today to work on their vocabulary terms.

Monday: What a beautiful weekend--if only Mizzou would have won. We will continue to work on reformatting PC's and any other things that come up. Please have your vocabulary finished by Wednesday. We will quiz on each section on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday: I will be attending a construction meeting this morning at 11:00 a.m. on the middle school. I will see how the wiring and such is coming in the building and find out what items I need to be purchasing so we are ready to set everything in there when it is finished. I have a couple of places to be visited today and fix things so check in with me.

Wednesday: Oops, I forgot to blog yesterday when I was at the conference. I read all of your posts and sounds like one of the PC's (#3) was giving you all some trouble. The fact that I wasn't here was probably good because you all had to use some problem solving skills. I'm hoping that when we actually put these PC's into the new lab they are all working and loaded with the software we need. I will be playing catch-up all day and I know there are some classrooms you guys will need to visit today. Check in with me and we'll go from there.
PS: I learned about a some cool new web sites and things we can do at the conference so hopefully we will get to those very soon.

Monday: I am at a conference at the Lake today and Tuesday. I want you to work on reformatting the PC's from Mrs. Buschjost's room. I also want each of you to blog before the end of the hour and tell what you accomplished on the computers that are on the counter. That way the next hour can check the blog and see what is left to do on those machines. Communitation is the key and this is the tool to use. I will be checking the blog from the conference and home and leave messages as I see necessary. Be good and stay in the lab.
