October 26, 2011

Wednesday: I got one huge thing accomplished after school yesterday. Dave Luebbering and I went to Ms. Dixon's room to mess with her sound again. I bought new speakers but when Dave hooked them up, it still sounded like the sound was coming out of a barrel. We messed and messed with stuff and I finally looked at the computer and there was a Realtek sound card in the machine and the program had opened up when we unplugged the cords and replugged them into the computer. On the Realtek screen was a program where you could pick if the sound was for a concrete hallway, planitarium, auditorium, or stadium. Guess what? the Stadium was selected and when I went back to normal, the sound was fixed. It took weeks and several trips to the store as well as tying up the maintenance staff time and mine (and some of yours) and all along it was on the pc. I was frustrated (mad) but glad the trouble was over. We all learn something new every day.

What have you learned new lately? Tell me about it.

Went to mrs schraders room to try and work on sound, headphones had not been turning off the speakers in the monitor. I tried changing the sound set up (it was set on 7.1) to multiple settings but none of them worked. I have learned about Washington's first inaugural address.

I went to the elementary to put a boe user on Hock's computer so Mrs. Winslow can get on it while Mrs. Hock is at the middle school. I did that tihing with the host file so that the tree would show up. Had no problems. Then I went down to the middle school to give Mrs. Hock her old monitor from her old computer in the elementary. Recently I learned that Caleb can't spell Schroeder correctly and that building a catapult out of household materials is fairly easy.

went to elementary to give Mrs. Pragman her new computer. It works and test page was able to print. Lately, I have learned that the African Bullfrog can eat 3 cougars at one time (or something extreme like that... it has a big appetite)

Worked on getting mis hocks email imported to her new windows 7 computer.

Something I recently learned would be that apple secretly updated the MacBook pro line this week =] ... Me = super excited for graduation.  But more import if u have a windows machine with quick time, safari or itunes on it DON'T UP DATE cuz it will down load with a wearied virus attached that won't allow you to get on the Internet (it took me a good 4-5 refreshes to figure out where it was coming from)
